Touts rule ARTO Poonch's office 4/28/2016 11:45:12 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Poonch, Apr 28: Believe it or not, the 'driving license' renewal has become a 'gold mine' for touts/agents active at Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Poonch who allegedly are hand in glove with some tainted officials at the concerned office and are getting expired 'driving license' renewed. This practice has been going on for the past many years. Sources in ARTO office said, "Throwing all the norms to the winds, some black moles at Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Poonch are allegedly getting driving licenses renewed despite these being discarded long ago. This is being done without any proper verification and following due procedure for such category. They alleged that not only this the touts are getting Registration Certificates (RCs) issued to many beneficiaries without proper/pre-required No objection Certificates from (NoCs) from Crime Branch in some cases." If sources are to be believed, the alleged black moles at ARTO Poonch allegedly in connivance with some touts have abused their official powers and even got a driving license bearing registration number 5268/ MVD RTO Jammu renewed.
