Early Times Report Banihal, Apr 29: A Jammu-bound truck went up in flames on Friday near Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu highway. However, three people onboard the truck managed to escape in time. An official said that the truck, bearing registration number JK03E /0455, caught fire at Shabanbass near Banihal today. He said that fire tenders couldn't reach the spot due to a massive traffic jam on the highway. The three people who were aboard at the time of accident were identified as driver Mohamad Ishaq, s/o M. Gazi r/o Mahi check Kathua, Muhammad Firdous, s/o M. Mian r/o Jhajjar Kotli and Mohammad Mustafa, s/o Mohammad Qasim, r/o Kokernag in Kashmir. The fire is believed to been caused by leakage from cooking gas cylinder. |
