Re-appointment of Prof Mattoo as Advisor to CM Gives sleepless nights to his adversaries in JU 4/29/2016 11:26:32 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 29: The re- appointment of Prof Amitabh Mattoo as Advisor to the Chief Minister has come as a shocker for his adversaries in Jammu University, who were expecting an end to his access in the corridors of powers under the present regime. For the last two days, since the issuance of formal order on appointment of Prof Mattoo as the Advisor, several people occupying top\ positions in Jammu University are having sleepless nights anticipating wrath of Prof Mattoo for their open criticism and loose talk about this former VC JU and now Advisor of the CM. Sources in the JU informed that two top officers are trying their best to get their apology conveyed to Prof Mattoo. While elaborating, sources said that that these two officers are most worried for their wrongs, done to harass an official of the University, who had proceeded on leave for working with Prof Mattoo during his previous stint as Advisor to then Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed. After the collapse of the Government in the wake of Mufti Sayeed's death, the said official had to join back his duties in Jammu University where he was subjected to alleged harassment by these two top officers. Under a conspiracy, the said official was not restored back to his earlier position but sent to an insignificant post under one of the two strong critiques of Prof Mattoo. Moreover, he was not allotted even an office for sitting at the new post. Pertinent to mention that these two top officers were once benefitted most by Prof Mattoo as then Vice-Chancellor but they allegedly ditched him. Amidst speculations that after his return as Advisor to CM, Prof Mattoo would not miss the opportunity to teach these officers a lesson for their betrayal, sources said that the duo was approaching close confidants of the former for tendering an apology. In a message conveyed by them, the duo is claiming that they did nothing wrong against Prof Mattoo on their own but were directed to do so from some other quarters.
