For Kishtwar School, Alama Iqbal is "Iqbal Singh" Outrageous! 4/29/2016 11:37:57 PM Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 29: The portrait of Sir Dr. Alama Iqbal (RA) installed at multi purpose hall of Higher Secondary School for Boys Kishtwar referring him as "Iqbal Singh" has stroked massive outrage among the educationist, social activists and also among the common people who slammed the school management for such act and alleged that same has been done willfully to defame the name of the legendry poet. As per the details available with "Early Times", the army reportedly installed this portrait couple of weeks ago during communal harmony debate program along with some couplets of Sir Alama Iqbal. Though army installed the portrait inside the multipurpose hall of the school, but it was the moral responsibility of the school management to check the same before its installation. "If principal HSS Boys Kishtwar didn't know Urdu, but she is capable to read English as the name of legendary poet has been written in English language as "Iqbal Singh- Urdu teachers posted in the school too can't escape responsibility for such a grievous mistake " said angry people. As soon as the photo went viral on social media, the outrageous people demanded action against guilty persons and termed it a blunder on part of the school management and sought immediate intervention of Education Minister Nayeem Akther, beside also demanded immediate removal of the said poster and urged upon DC Kishtwar to order immediate probe into the matter so that responsibility could be fixed on guilty persons.
