| BJP MLA stoops low to settle personal scores | | | Early Times Report
SUNDERBANI, Apr 29: A daily wager in Social forestry department had to face the wrath of a BJP MLA who feared threat to his fiefdom, prevailed upon the Forest Minister Lal Singh to got the daily wager thrown out of his services.
The daily wager Ajay Sharma, son of Amar Nath and resident of Nohoti have been serving in the department since past two and a half years and was constantly being harassed by the BJP MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina who is alleged to have openly declared his 'fiefdom' in his constituency that he runs a lion's den in his constituency and no administrative machinery is above him,,
The victim Ajay Sharma for being a news reporter with one of the leading newspapers of the State who used to extend his services to the newspaper while exposing the 'misdeeds' of the administrative works in the Rajouri district.
While the said Ajay Sharma has challenged the MLA proving his charges against him for working in any news agency , he said that the dispute arose between his family and the family of one of the ex-sarpanch Mohan Lal, who is BJP member and a close confidante of MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina.
"I and my family have been pressurized by Mohan Lal to strike a compromise on the inherited land of his family on which a dispute is going on since past 20 years . I did not yield and thus Mohan Lal using his MLA influence reached the forest department with frivolous charges against me and got my job cancelled," said Ajay Sharma.
Ajay said that since he and his family clout has a good number of votes to their credit which is a source of concern for the MLA . "He wants the control of the votes," said Ajay .
Already the Early Times have carried an unending list of news stories against the Nowshera MLA who enjoys a good rapport with the State Ministers and have a good link with Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh since he himself was a Sangh worker before joining the BJP.
Conspicuous is the case that a Cabinet Minister of level of Lal Singh too has stooped to great low to appease a petty MLA for removing daily wager from his services.
The sources however inform that MLA links are deep into the administrative apparatus of the district where he has roped in high administrative officials also in the gambit to overthrow Ajay Sharma.
The sources further inform that since 42 daily wagers are working in the social forest department in tehsil Sunderbani, the removal of only one from his services aptly points towards the shoddy activities of the MLA who is reported under the threat of his membership as MLA for pursuing the "land mafia" and indulging in the "illicit land deals"--- a number of reports which have already been covered in Early Times.
The three administrative officials in the social forestry department viz Divisional Forest Officer Rajouri Menaz Anjum Malik, Range Officer Lavendi, Gulshan Kumar and Director Social Forestry department Jammu Suresh Chugg when approached to take up the reason for dismissing Ajay from the service took up to criminal silence .
None of the officer gave any answer to any question.
However when the Director Social Forestry department Jammu Suresh Chugg was quried for the reason, he put up an ignorant plea. The Divisional Forest Officer Rajouri Menaz Anjum Malik put the onus on the Range officer while the latter again shifted the blame on the DFO and vice versa.
Meanwhile, the aggrieved has threatened to move the court against the entire corrupt including Forest Minister Lal Singh as well as the MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina and the three delinquent administrative officers in the case. |
