People stages protest, demands widening of road 4/30/2016 12:18:42 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 29: A protest demonstration was held at Markazi Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan Jammu and demanded widening of road, dilapidated lanes and by lanes, lack of proper drainage system, lack of maintenance in the graveyards, illegal encroachments of wakaf properties, implementation of sachar committee report. Addressing the gathering Syed Shabir Ahmed Shah President MDF (J&K) said that construction of Jamia Masjid is totally disturbed due to the inordinate delay in the widening of road from Rajinder Bazar to Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan Jammu compensation has been given to those whose shops were demolished infact new shops were given as compensation but even then widening is being deferred due to some hidden reasons.
