| Massive anti encroachment drive launched | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Apr 30: District Administration Udhmapur today launched a massive anti encroachment drive in Udhampur city and cleared illegal encroachments from different markets which were creating bottlenecks in the markets for smooth flow of traffic.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Dr Shaid Iqbal Choudhary, the Tehsildar Udhampur Sapna Kotwal along with a team of revenue officers escorted with SHO Udhampur today undertook a special anti encroachment drive in Mukherjee Bazaar and Gole Market area and other areas in the city by removing illegal encroachment by displaying goods by shopkeepars and road side vendors.
"During the operation, the team vacated encroached land by shopkeepers and vendors besides the team also demolished illegal structure created by vendors.
Speaking about the anti encroachment drive, Sapna Korwal Tehsildar said that district administration is making all out efforts to remove the illegal encroachments so as to give the city a clean and congestion free city. He said this drive will also be initiated in other parts of the city in coming days and strict action against offenders who were encouraged the govt land with the help of some vested influential persons in connivance with politico-official nexus.
Meanwhile on the complaint of local residents Tehsildar also inspected Government Gopa mandir school and warned staff to not throw school garbage into sacred Davika river . |
