udhampur, Apr 30: A Tehsildar was today removed from his post for dereliction of duty and delinquent tehsil supply officers slapped fines for failing to implement directions related to public services.
Udhampur Deputy Commissioner, Udhmapur, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary attached the Tehsildar of Chenani in the district for mismanagement of office records, accounts and other vital duties, an official spokesman said.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner has been asked to hold a detailed enquiry in the matter, the spokesman said, adding, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chenani has been asked to make alternative arrangements for functioning of the tehsil Office.
A fine of Rs 5,000 each was slapped on tehsil supply officers of Udhampur, Ramnagar, Latti-Majori, Basantgarh, Chenani, Panchari and Moungri for delay in implementation of directions related to redressal of public grievances, the spokesman said.
The collected fine amount of Rs 35,000 was donated to District Red Cross Society which plays a vital role for relief to victims of accidents, natural calamities, patients, physically handicapped and orphan students. |
