Jammu, Apr 30: continuing its drive against drug and narcotics smugglers, the Trikuta Nagar police today arrested a narcotics smuggler and recovered the consignment of Charas from his possession during a naka checking.
"The accused has been identified as Zakir Hussain S/O Muzffar Hussian R/O Satri Maidan Gopal Pura Kalan Martand Anantnag, police sources said.
According to police sources, I/C PP Narwal Mahmood Khan alongwith Insp Kuldeep Khajuria SHO P/S Trikuta Nagar today arrest one drug peddler at Narwal Mandi.
During his frisking police party recovered 645gms of Charas from his possession, police sopurces said, adding, "a case under FIR No: 77/2016 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Trikuta Nagar and further Investigations are on.
Police sources said that arrest was made under the close supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shazad Salaria. |
