Both Centre, State deceived PoK DPs

Early Times Report
Nowshera, May 1: A mammoth rally held today at Bareri (Nowshera) lashed out at centre and state governments for ignoring PoK Displaced persons.
The rally which was held under the banner of S. O. S. International - An Organisation for PoK Displaced Persons, under the chairmanship of Rajiv Chuni discussed every new development on the part of Government. While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chuni further said that there is utmost need of getting united to give their struggle more impetus and show their strength to both thug Government in Central and State.
While speaking on the occasion, S. O. S. International Chairman stated that now Central Government has followed the footsteps of State Government that has been deceiving us for the last 7 decades. "The real faces of both Centre and State Governments have been unveiled as they both seem same aspect of same coin. It was before Modi led Central Government's formation; the state cabinet approved a rehabilitation package for PoK DPs and sent to centre for its implementation. The said approval merely required the nod of Central Government for its implementation but it deliberately put it in cold storage. Prime Minister, Narindra Modi is not acquainted with the gloom and misery of people who were forced to leave their native places in 1947.
Chuni further stated that it is not the fault of PoK DPs that till today, Government couldn't vacate the land (PoK) from the illegal possession of Pakistan. "It is even not our fault that Government failed to provide much awaited help to us. We have been living in ultimate shabby conditions and misery and no one has extended helping hand towards us.
"PoK DPs are seen as vote bank by different political parties whether it is Congress, BJP or any other party. Before elections, parties promise fulfilment of our demands but after elections, not a single voice is raised in favour of us. When Modi came to Katra for the inauguration of Super Speciality Hospital, he didn't even speak a single word about PoK DPs. Modi talked about Kashmir only. Even, CM Mehbooba Mufti ruled out to talk about Jammu and she batted for Kashmir only. PM Modi sermon during Katra visit was totally Kashmir centric only. He assured Mehbooba that all the developments will be made in the ambit of Kashmiriyat, Jhamooriyat aur Insaaniyat. Kashmiriyat-It is quite clear that agenda of alliance is meant for Kashmir only, Jhamooriyat has been grinding PoK DPs for the last 7 decades and Insaaniyat has never been seen on ground as till today none of parties has shown Insaaniyat to the most unfortunate community (PoK DPs) who is living in misery and gloom. These 3 taglines of Modi have no relevance for us because after becoming Prime Minister, he has always shown his sympathy towards Kashmir not for Jammu. One question arises in my mind that the community which played key role behind the unprecedented victory of BJP in the State of Jammu and Kashmir has been entirely sidelined and entire focus shifted on Kashmir only. Whatever be the scheme made for the Jammu and Kashmir, it is for Kashmir only then I would like to ask Modi if you keep on focusing Kashmir then where does Jammu stand?" Chuni asked.
He further said that BJP has its Government both in State and Centre and there should not be any obstacle in taking the final call but keeping step-motherly approach towards PoK DPs is forcing S. O. S. International to come in front to launch decisive struggle as Modi Government is not doing any favour to PoK DPs because it is the constitutional right of us.
Lalit Kumar conducted stage proceedings. Others who also spoke were Master Bodh Raj, DN Raina, Bachan Lal, Sub. Kasturi Lal, Capt. Shiv Ram, Capt. SN Randhawa, OP Khajuria, Pt. Lekh Raj, Pt. Narinder Sharma, Roshan Lal, Sharda Devi, Tarvinder Singh, VK Dutta, Tilak Raj and Sanjay Kohli.
