Bloeria, Member, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Chairman of the Governing Body of the Hospital and reviewed the Hospital's functioning.
The meeting was attended by B. B. Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development and Member of Governing Body; Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; Keshwan V, Group Chief Finance Officer of NH Group and other members of the governing body.
The Governing Body expressed satisfaction on the functioning of the Hospital since its commissioning, the services being offered to the patients and performance of advanced surgeries. The Governing Body directed the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Executive Officer of the hospital to ensure delivery of best possible services to the people.
The Governing Body prepared a standard procedure and ratified 50 percent concession on the first 100 major surgeries/procedures across the clinical specialities, in line with the announcement of Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health during the inaugural function of the Hospital on April 19. This decision will provide significant relief to the patients who have been awaiting treatment/surgery but did not have the required resources. Cardiac surgeries, Knee-replacement and Hip-replacements are among the major surgeries which will be provided 50 percent concession in the Hospital's normal rates.
It is relevant to recall that the Hospital is already providing 10 percent concession in the normal rates in respect of all procedures and surgeries across the board. This concession can be availed for a period of six months beginning from the date of commissioning of the Hospital. Furthermore, OPD services are being provided free of charge to all visiting patients as announced on April 8, when the Hospital began functioning.
The Governing Body set up a Finance Advisory Committee which shall be chaired by Vyas, to assist finance related decisions and to monitor the Hospital's financial transactions. Dr. (Brig.) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, informed that advanced procedures are being performed by reputed Neurosurgeons, GI Surgeons and Orthopaedic Surgeons. Total Knee Replacements (TKR) will be performed shortly by the renowned Orthopaedic Surgeons of the Hospital.
