Educational Institutes observe Labour Day

Jammu, May 2 : Various labour organizations celebrated International worker's day also known as labour day.
APS, Akhnoor celebrated Labour day, a special assembly was organised by students in which dignity of Labour and contribution of supportive staff was highlighted. Speaking on the occasion Principal KCS Mehta and School Counselor Talitha Sharon Philip highlight the value of work done by these employees'. Chairman Brig Rajendra Joshi has sent his best wishes to supportive staff on this day.
Labour Day was celebrated at Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu. The function kicked off with by welcoming the workers at Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu and acknowledgement of their hard work to make this institution a harmonious place to work and learn from each other. A special assembly was prepared by the students to highlight the importance of the rights of labourers, especially in Indian-context.
Another function was organized by DPS Udhampur to celebrat Labour Day. The celebration began with lighting of lamp by the honorable Chairman of the School Dr. J.C Gupta along with the Fourth class staff. Then the students presented a colorful cultural program, various songs, skit, dances, poems were presented by the students. Later on the management as a token of love, gratitude distributed gifts amongst the drivers, conductors and maids. The helpers were overwhelmed by the gesture of the students as well as the management. The Chairman of the School Dr. J.C Gupta thanked these people for their true service towards the school & the Children and promised that School will keep on taking care of its helpers as they are a big asset to the School.
Rich Harvest School Bari Brahmana held a Special Assembly to observe 'Labour Day'. The programme began with a speech on the origin and significance of 'Labour Day' and welcoming the workers and acknowledging their work.. The school principal Anita Bhatia congratulated the workers and thanked them for their selfless services. Workers were overwhelmed watching the function and expressed their gratitude towards the school management, teachers and students for their contribution. Students of various classes presented gifts to the school workers who take care of them in school. Trustee Mrs Ruchi Charak also thanked the employees acknowledging their contributions and appreciating their irreplaceable inputs for the welfare of the school and motivated students to respect all such people without whose help, life would not be that easy.
To commemorate the Labour day and to appreciate and thank the self less service of helpers who ,work with full dedication and ensure the hygiene and security of the school, the students of Minerva Public School celebrated Labour day on Monday. In the special assembly students were acquainted with the history behind Labour day celebration by teacher Pallavi Sharma and student of class 6th Ananya.
Students of Pre- primary wing presented gifts to helpers and show gratitude towards them.
In the end Principal Sheetal Sharma also thanked the employees acknowledging their contribution admitting their irreplaceable inputs for the welfare of the school and motivated students to respect all such people without whose help, life would not be that easy.
To Honour the labours and inculcate the value of respecting the dignity of each labour, Daffodils Care Convent School, Jain Bazar today celebrated Labour Day.
According to press release, Children were dressed up as many helpers to us in our day to day life. They enacted as Milkman, Cobber, Doctor, Vegetable seller, Mason, Electrician and also showed their importance in our lives.
They also recited poems based on their professions the cherry on the cake was the scintillating 'Patriotic Dance' performed by the students.
