SSRB biased against candidates with degrees from outside Universities
5/2/2016 11:44:13 PM
Early Times Report
jammu, May 2: Creating unnecessary hurdles for the students who have got their degrees from various recognized universities from outside the State, the Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) has asked these students who have been selected for the post of JE and got their engineering degrees from the colleges outside the State to produce the certificate or order that these universities and colleges are recognized.
This is amazing that the State Government having such huge army of employees and officers at its disposal has s failed to ascertain which university and college outside the State is recognized especially at a time when one can seek any information within seconds through internet.
Expressing concern over the style of functioning of SSRB, sources said that this way unnecessary harassment to the candidates who have got their degrees from the colleges and universities outside the State.
Sources said that the SSRB or any other recruiting agency is supposed to have the list of the recognized universities and colleges all over the country and instead of asking the students to get verified the recognition of the institutions where from they have got their degrees it should ascertain the facts from the list. Moreover it can on its own write to State governments where these institutions are located to ascertain whether these institutions were duly recognized or not.
Sources said that even the students who have got their degrees from government institutions have also been informed that their selection is subject to verification of their universities.
Sources said this applies to the prestigious engineering colleges of the country as well in which people crave to seek admission and feel proud after getting selected in them.
Sources said previously also SSRB created such hurdles in issuing appointment orders to the candidates who have got their degrees from outside the State and they had to wait for month to get it ascertained that these institutions were duly recognized.
Sources said the functioning of SSRB is so bad that even the candidates who have already handed over their bonafide and other certificates to authorities of SSRB during the interview have been asked to produce them again before the issuance of selection orders.
