Bashing by Ex-wife: DIG Jammu orders DySP to hold inquiry

Jammu, May 3: In the latest development in assault case by his ex wife in Residency Road, the DIG Jammu Ashkoor Ahmed Wani had directed the SDPO City Shemsher to hold the inquiry against the incident.
"The DIG took initiative after the father of the victim namely Atta Mohd leveled allegations of bias attitude of police in the incident, police sources said. "In his allegations, the complainant (father of victim) had stated that his son namely Shahid Ahmed Wani of Prem Nagar was stoned by his ex wife namely Rubina Akhtar over some family issues." Police sources added. Pertinently, Shahid Ahmed suddenly was intercepted and was stoned by his ex wife here in Residency Road area following which he was admitted in the JK Medicity hospital for advance treatment. Meanwhile, concerned police have claimed to have lodged an FIR against the accused i.e. ex wife of injured identified as Rubina Akhtar u/s 323,341 RPC.
