Early Times Report
Jammu, May 4: Two BDOs (block development officers) posted in Nowshera and Doongi blocks of Rajouri district have been attached with the office of RDD director in Jammu over poor performance. Their attachment orders were issued by assistant commissioner development (ACD), Rajouri, Noor Alam, according to official sources. The ACD had been receiving public complaints of poor performance against Nowshera BDO Qazi-ur-Rehman and the Doongi BDO for the past some time. The duo had been issued warnings several times, sources said. As per the public complaints, they were alleged to avoiding people of their respective blocks whenever they visited them with their grievances. The locals, who had worked under MGNREGA, were also facing problems in getting their payments released from the offices of BDOs, sources alleged. Taking a serious note of their alleged poor performance, the ACD ordered their attachment with the office of RDD director, Jammu, and gave additional charge of their posts to BDO, Rajouri. When contacted, the ACD said administration would make all out efforts to redress grievances of general public in the district. |
