Early Times Report Jammu, May 4: As the Mehbooba Mufti regime in Jammu and Kashmir completes a month, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh has asserted that Agenda of Alliance (AoA) is a guiding force for both the ruling coalition partners. In an interview here to UNI, Dr Singh said that the ten-month long 'manthan,' under the dispensation of former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has strengthened the bonds between the Peoples Democratic Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. ''Our 10-month experience with the PDP under the guidance of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is an addition to our kitty despite the fact that PDP is Kashmir centric and BJP is having sentiments from Jammu region,'' Dr Singh added. The experience and the functioning, during the 10-month period of BJP-PDP under Mufti Sayeed, had strengthened ties between both the parties, which will undoubtedly benefit the state, he added. ''AoA is a guiding force for both (PDP-BJP) of us and to accomplish the target, we still have 5-year term in hand,'' said the Deputy Chief Minister adding, ''Prime Minister Narendra Modi's package of Rs 80,000 crore will remain our prime focus in the days to come.'' However, without naming the previous dispensation (NC-Congress), Dr Singh said, ''whatever has happened in the previous government is a history now but PDP-BJP is focused only on the development of all the three regions.'' ''Jammu people and its development are always taken on board and one thing is quite sure that PDP-BJP coalition is a government of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,'' he asserted. |
