Stolen auto-rickshaw traced within 24 hrs, thief held

Jammu, May 5: Acting promptly Janipur police recovered a stolen auto-rickshaw within 24 hours of its theft besides arresting the vehicle lifter. Further investigations are on in this regard. "The accused has been identified as Kuldeep Singh alias Gosha s/o Ranjit Singh of Patoli Morh Sarwal, police sources said. Quoting complainant, the police sources said, "On the intervening night of May 3/4, an auto-rickshaw bearing regn. no JK02AN-5471 was stolen from Main Chowk Janipur." Following the complaint, a case was registered at Janipur police station and police team led by Inspector Ranbir Singh Bhau, SHO Janipur under the supervision of SDPO West Sugandha Mahajan raided a place and arrested Kuldeep Singh. Police further said that during questioning, Kuldeep broke out and confessed his crime while on his disclosure police recovered the stolen auto-rickshaw. Further investigations is on in this regard.
