Jammu, May 6 : In a PIL, seeking direction to state to implement National Land Records Modernization Programme Scheme (NLRMPS) in J&K for the benefit of general public, a high court division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today issued notice to secretary of union ministry of rural development, J&K revenue department, financial commissioner (revenue), J&K, and settlement commissioner, J&K, returnable within three weeks. They were also directed to file response to the petition. NLRMPS has been formulated by union ministry of rural development. The counsel for PIL submitted that it was very unfortunate that when the whole world was entering into an era of modern technology, the state revenue department was still living in medieval period.
