JP World School holds Investiture ceremony 5/6/2016 11:43:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 6: To confer with the responsibilities to the newly elected members of students' council, J.P. World School Channi, Jammu held investiture ceremony at school auditorium in which office bearers took an oath to carry out their duties sincerely to add to the glory of the school. Colonel Vimal Nayar graced the occasion as the chief guest while Major Avishesh was the guest of honour on the occasion. The ceremony began with lighting of lamp by the chief guest Colonel Nayar and the Managing Trustee of the school , Ashok Singh Manhas followed by school song "we are JPians". The members of students' council were selected on the basis of attitude, communication skills, confidence, sincerity and participation in different school programmes. The chief guest pinned up the badges and adorned them with sashes. From senior school, Shahbaz and Manpreet class- 12th Non Medical were selected as Head Boy and Head Girl while from junior school Shaquib and Deepika class- 4th were elected separately for the same positions. Nishant, Sehban and Sadia were bestowed with captainship of discipline, sports and cultural activities from senior school while from junior school Krish, Tanu Yadav, Abhiroop Singh Hundal, Ayesha, Madhvan and Somya were vested with the same responsibilities. Colonel Vimal Nayar in his address congratulated the newly elected members of students' council and advised them to be responsible and worthy of the trust reposed in them. Major Avishesh Singh presented a presentation regarding career opportunities in Indian Army and advised them to serve the motherland.
