Jammu, May 23: The investiture ceremony of KC Gurukul Public School Paloura for the academic session 2016-17 was held on Monday within the school premises to inculcate the qualities of leadership, discipline and service among the student community. According to press release, Parvez Dewan (IAS) Retd Advisor to Governor Union Secretary Tourism Jammu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The momentous ceremony commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by the rendition of the school song by the school choir. Principal administered the oath to the newly elected prefectorial body. Lovkesh Deep Raina was elected the Head Boy of the school, Anchal Sharma , the Head Girl, Mukul Bakshi, the vice Head Boy and Shruti Sharma , Vice Head Girl. Neera Dogra Senior Coordinator extended a hearty welcome and introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. Banashrii Bijoli Barman Principal of the school in her address congratulated the newly appointed prefectorial body and stressed on the need of inculcating vital qualities like honesty, integrity and hard work for positions of dignity. Chairman of KCGPS, Arvind Mahajan in his motivational speech advised the students to become able leaders by developing leadership qualities, adopting a resilient attitude and being truly dedicated to any task they undertake. |
