Jammu, May 23: Presidents of Sabhas/Mohallas/Basties/Wards and prominent persons of Jammu in general and Bahu Fort area in particular today has hailed the police for apprehending of person who was allegedly involved in anti-national and antisocial activities and demanded slapping of Public Safety Act (PSA) against him.
In a joint press conference convened here today, the members of various bodies/organizations said that one Shabir Ahmed Shah s/o Mohd Abdullah of Taïab Khatikan Jammu is a history sheeter/criminal and land grabber. " Shabir was doing all sorts of fraudulent deeds for which he has been booked number of times but he didn't mend his ways, they said , adding, "there are so many cases against him which include issuance of fake driving licenses, registration certificates, permits, fake authority letters etc."
They also alleged the accused was in habit of filing false and baseless complaints against dedicated and honest Govt employees.
Citing his various shoddy deeds, they said, "On 02/11/2011 Shabir Ahmed Shah made every effort to grab piece of land belonging to Shamshan Ghat at Jogi Gate by fixed a board depicting "Mosque under Construction" "But timely police action i.e. removal of board from site saved un warranted communal tension in the old city, they said.
Earlier on 05/03/2012, the accused Shah alongwith unknown person went to Police Station Pacca Danga Jammu and tried to influence I/O of the case of FIR No. 39/2012 u/s 09 RPC. He also had threatened the I/O of disturbing communal harmony if the said I/O doesn't concede to his demands, they said, further alleging that he was also involved ina cheating case registered at P./S Gandhi Nagar P/S Trikuta Nagar, P/S Bagh-e-Bahu, P/S Pirmitha, P/S Nowabad. P/S Railway Jalandhar,, P/S Kulgani and Anantnag also .
Speaker alleged that Shabir Ahmed Shah also had managed fake power of attorney of 5 Kanals land under Khasra no. 179 and 180 (Old) and 333, 330 (new) situated at Gorkha Nagar, Jammu on 14/11/2015 and started dupming of construction material for encroachment in connivance with Nazir Ahmed and Hamida Begum. "The matter was to the notice of VC-JDA and Police Station Bagh-E-Bahu. SHO Bagh-E-Bahu who took prompt action and seized material alongwith load carrier besides lodging an FIR against said trio.
Hailing the arrest of Shabir Ahmed Shah by Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu in some land grabbing cases, the speakers demanded Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Director General of Police (DGP) look into the matter personally and slap Public Security Act (PSA) against Shabir and his associates.
Speakers informed that resident of Bahu Fort have already approached Dy Chief Minister, Nirmal Singh, Speaker J&K Assembly Kavinder Gupta, Raman Bhalla ex Minster, DC Jammu, IGP Jammu and SSP Jammu to take action against Shabir Ahmed Shah.

Committee, Mohd. Rafiq Khan and Mohd Jumma Khan.
