Early Times Report jammu, May 23: The recent case of the eating up of refreshment by the Sports officer has evoked severe response from the sports persons and locals as well as in social media, but the department of sports is still mum over the issue as they might ought to save their official. Sports Council had started to offer refreshments worth Rs. 100/- to the sportspersons attending coaching camps in various games by itself, rather than entrusting the sports associations following complaints that the players were never offered the refreshments. Though the decision of the Sports Council was widely hailed, certain vested interests compromised on quality and quantity of the refreshment for ulterior motives, 'eating' into the refreshment meant for sportspersons who sweat and bleed in the grounds. Releible sources said that Rajan Sharma after being caught red handed has created a noisy scene in the presence of members of the Sports Council at MA Stadium while shouting, impelling the members to leave the venue for which the members of the council were supposed to take up the matter to department of sports and Ministry, but till date no action has been done by any of the authority and the pompous officer is still working as his previous schedule without any restriction imposed. Sports Ministry when contacted by Early times said that there is no written complaint within the office and the office can take cognizance only after receiving complaint. Secretary to Government when contacted shared, " I haven't received any information about the incident, neither I have read it in anywhere, meanwhile I will discuss the matter with Secretary Sports Council and a strict action will be taken against the officer, if he found guilty". |
