40000 common 'Carp Fish' stocked at Dool Dam 5/24/2016 10:57:34 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 24: In order to give boost and promote fishery sector in Kishtwar District, the Department of Fisheries in Kishtwar headed by Assistant Director Fisheries Muzzafar Mehraj Mintoo today were spread 40,000 Carp Fish eggs in Dool Dam Reservoir. As per the details available with "Early Times", the eggs of various species of carp fish including Common Carp, Grass Carp and Silver Carp were spread in the reservoir. "With the spread of carp fish eggs, the stocking of fish in this reservoir shall increase further giving boot to Fish production in the district besides helping the Fishermen community by an increase in their daily fish catch in the area, an official said. Assistant Director Fisheries Kishtwar Muzaffer Mehraj Mintoo along with field officials of the department carried out the stocking of the reservoir. Official also informed that in addition to this, atleast 20,000 fish eggs have also been procured and stocked at Shalimar Kishtwar for due distribution to traders involved in fishery sector in the mountainous district.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
