Aryan clinches Champion for U-1800 Title

JAMMU, MAY 24: Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis player Aryan Mahajan again proved his mettle by clinching Champion for U-1800 title in the Four-Star Table Tennis Tournament "2016 Cincinnati Open", being played at College Hill Recreation Center, Belmont Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio.
In Champion for U-1800, Aryan Mahajan defeated Ben Hadden by straight 3-0 and won the title. Earlier, Mahajan was down by 0-2 in the pre-quarter final match against Ben Blacklidge, but with his skills, won the match by 3-2. In quarterfinal, Aryan crushed Ricky Woo by 3-1 and in semifinal, he registered win over Rikuto Namiki by straight 3-0. In Open category, Mahajan smashed Jackson Millard by 3-0 in pre-quarter final, but in quarterfinal, lost to Niranjan Kamat by 0-3.
In the Cincinnati Open, around 60 players participated and Mahajan was one of them, who again succeeded to bring laurels to Jammu and Kashmir by winning the title of Champion for U-1800.
It is to mention that, Mahajan participated in other tournaments this year including 2016 Pittsburgh Steel City Open in which he won the Juniors and was runner-up for U-1600, $3000 Newgy Ohio Open Table Tennis Tournament where he won U-1600 and was runners up for U-1700.
In 2016 Millcreek Giant Table Tennis Tournament, he won Division 5L and was runners up for U-1600 and in the Arnold Table Tennis Challenge in Columbus (OH), where there were over 300 participants and Mahajan proved his mettle by winning the U-1400 Tiered title. Moreover, Aryan played in Aurora Cup in Chicago (IL) and ended up reaching quarterfinals.
Mahajan has been training extensively with Ohio's top player and mentor Samson Dubina. Samson is also coach for USA National Team.
