Censured by BJP for his vindictive attitude, VC JU returns to Facebook for media bashing

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 24: Hours after BJP top leadership made its intention clear to clip wings of Vice Chancellor Jammu University Prof. R D Sharma for allegedly trying to asphyxiate ABVP, the student wing of the party not only on the JU campus, but beyond it, the VC returned to Facebook yet again abusing media to his relish to give vent to his frustration and embarrassment.
On his Facebook posting, the VC accused a 'blackmailing section of print media' of publishing reports and deniying that JU had refused permission to any organization to organize activities on the campus.
It is pertinent to mention here that all leading news papers of the state had published reports quoting sources that the matter was raised in the meeting of the state Cabinet by a senior BJP Minister and seconded by all BJP Ministers who had inputs from their independent sources about the vindictive attitude of the VC.
Besides the state Cabinet, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav also condemned the 'obstinate behavior' of Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Professor R.D Sharma to ban the party's youth wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in all educational institutions in the region and said action would be taken accordingly.
"BJP Ministers take up Jammu University vice-chancellor obstinate behaviour against ABVP. Action will be taken (sic)," read Madhav's tweet.
While sources believe that the days of Prof. R D Sharma are numbered after the displeasure expressed by top BJP leadership, it is strange that the VC has accused media for the strong public sentiment against him and refused to introspect or abstain from his vindictive attitude. It is also strange that while VC has blocked out Facebook on the university campus, he returns to it repeatedly for reaching out to students, and media bashing, which many believe is his favourite pass time.
