Rajouri, May 25: Various teacher's associations of Rajouri district have welcomed and appreciated the decision of the Education Minister and efforts of the Chief Education Officer that every master and teacher has to serve in far off and hard areas in Rajouri district. In this connection a proposal was put before the District Development Board (DDB) meeting by Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO and the chairman DDB, Naeem Akhter, Education Minister gave nod to CEO Rajouri's proposal and asked him to go ahead. Pertinently, teachers reportedly on political affiliations, bogus medical & security threat certificates (barring few genuine cases) have managed their services near their home towns and never have served in far off, inaccessible areas. This also came to light during several visits by the Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO to the schools situated in inaccessible and for off areas in the district. Many such schools are situated Khawas, Moghla, and upper areas in Kalakot education zones at Khah, Jamola, villages in Peeri education zone and in border areas. "Education Department has taken an appreciable step. With this step the closed schools would be opened and the children of these areas will soon get their right of education" said Shahbaz Khan, president,Pir Panjal Regional Employees federation (PPREF). Other who appreciated the step taken by the education department include Rajneesh Kumar, Rehamn Choudhry, Parvaiz Mehmood, Jamal Khan and Rahil Malik all senior leaders of Teacher's Joint Front (TTF). "The process to appoint teachers/ masters in inaccessible areas as per resolution adopted in the DDB is in progress and after summer vacation every school in Rajouri district will be provided with required staff" said Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO Rajouri |
