Jammu, May 26: A pilgrim today made an abortive bid on life enroute to Bhawan from Katra base camp, here today. Police have registered a case in this regard.
Police sources said, the name of the pilgrim yet has not been ascertained by police but efforts are on.
SSP Reasi Surjit Kumar when contacted said that one male unknown yatri (35) jumped down from the roof near track.
"After evacuating him from the gorge, he was rushed to dispensary at Bhawan where treatment is going on," he said, adding, he was not fit for giving a statement till last report came in."
The reason behind the extreme step was also not ascertained by police, the officer maintained. |
