JAMMU, May 26: Week-long special coaching camp, organised by the J&K State Sports Council, concluded today with remarks from the members of the organising committee and special guest at MA Stadium, here. The camp held in six disciplines of Athletics, Gymnastics, Boxing, Fencing and Judo for both boys and girls under the guidance of State Sports Council coaches at the respective training points within the MA Stadium. On the concluding day, PRO of Jammu based office of the Union Sports Minister, Dr Jatinder Singh, Sanjeev Sharma was chief guest, who encouraged youth athletes, who were part of the special camp. He assured all possible help from the Minister for uplifting of the sports infrastructure in the state. Earlier, Joint Secretary, State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma gave a brief note of the activities held during the camp and lauded the role of the coaches and officials for their efforts. He also expressed his gratitude to Minister for Sports, Imran Raza Ansari for approving the camp. Shiv Kumar further said that the next such camp shall be held at Patnitop. |
