Jammu, May 27: An art exhibition by Dr. Amita Khare, Gwalior based painter and Curated by O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA, Jammu, was inaugurated at the central gallery of Indian Academy of Fine Arts (IAFA), Amritsar. S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, President Indian Academy of Fine Arts, was the Chief Guest whereas Dr. P S Grover, General Secretary, IAFA was the Guest of Honour and Sh. Jang S. Verman, a senior artist and columnist on art & culture from Jammu was the Special Guest on this occasion. Dr. Khare is the active member of Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu and on the persuasion of the Centre, she put up the show at IAFA, Amritsar. Twenty eight paintings in water colour, acrylics and oils have been displayed in the show. The theme of the works is mainly- Landscape. Dr. Amita Khare is qualified painter. She has done MA (Painting); B. Ed. and Ph. D in Painting from Jiwaji University, Gwalior and is Assistant Professor in the field of Art. She has participated in Solo/ Group shows and art camps at Kala Bithika Art Gallery, Gwalior, Kalavitika, Gwalior, IRA Gulbarga, Karnatika, Ujjain, Jhansi, N Delhi, Mumbai, Thimpu, Bhutan and M.S. Deshpandey Gallery, Mumbai. |
