"Considering the importance of dialogue and fruitful deliberation on the issue, our University has decided to hold the International Seminar on Kashmir issue. It is the fact that the Kashmir dispute has remained unresolved despite its being at the agenda of various international fora including the UN" read the letter and termed it as the matter of inalienable right to self-determination. Vice Chancellor further writs in the invitation letter that the human rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir have increased manifold since BJP led government took its charge in New Delhi and accuses the BJP-RSS nexus of changing the Demographic composition of the territory. The vice also invokes recent killings in Kupwara and Handwara as well as the proposed government of India bill to punish people and institutions for not showing Jammu and Kashmir as part of India which clearly reflects that the seminar has been called to defame and abuse India and its democratically elected government internationally through the self acclaimed international seminar on human right violation.
"In this back drop and in continuation of our efforts to propose a workable process for an equitable and just solution of the Kashmir conflict, based on justice, we are organizing International Seminar in Islamabad and for this eminent scholars, political personalities and civil societies from around the globe have been invited and are expected to participate in the Seminar" read the invitation letter added that "To highlight the different aspects of the Kashmir dispute, we have formulated different topics for the seminar which include "Role of international community in resolving the Kashmir Dispute", "bringing Hindu fundamentalists under the grab of industrialists- RSS move to have strong grip over the State of Jammu and Kashmir under Hindutva". The invitation further stated that the conference is being held at the convention center of the present capital city of Pakistan i.e Islamabad and many political and social personalities, prominent journalists and lawyers have also been invited from the Jammu & Kashmir.
