Everest Bhalessa , Friends Ghat sails into Semis of 12th Gufran Championship

Doda, May 29: Everest Bhalessa and Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Ghat sails into the Semi Final of the ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2016 held at Sports Stadium Doda. The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank and Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda. Earlier in the first match, Everest Bhalessa after winning the toss elected to bat first. While batting, they set a target of 223 runs for the loss of 07 wickets in 20 overs. Aamir Wani and Deepak were the highest scorers who made 82 and 77 runs respectively. From Firdous Eleven, Rayaz and Aaqib Khan take 03 and 02 wickets respectively.
In reply, Firdous Eleven team could not manage to chase down the stipulated target and was bundled out for 183 runs in 17.4 overs. Zahid Rasool was the highest scorer from Firdous Eleven who made 67 runs while Kafeel Fayaz contributed 37 runs for the team. From Everest Bhalessa, Irshad and Aamir Wani take 05 and 05 wickets respectively. Later on Aamir Wani of Everest Bhal essa team was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance. In the second match, toss was won by Friends Ghat and they opted to bat first. While batting, they set a target of 202 runs for the loss of 07 wickets in 20 overs. Hardeep Singh and Ankur Singh were the highest scorers who made 58 and 48 runs. From Doda Super Kings, Anchal and Sunny shared 02 wickets each. In reply Doda Super Kings team could not manage to chase the given target and was allout for 103 runs in 15.2 overs. Uttam Thakur and Rahul were the highest scorers who made 33 and 32 runs. From Friends Ghat, Kartik took 03 wickets while Hardeep and Ankit shared 02 wickets each. Later on Hardeep Singh of Friends Ghat was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance. The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi, Bharat Jajuriya and Aayush Sharma as Umpires whereas Rinku Bhaduria acted as Scorer and Ashok Sharma (Video Analyst) as Third Umpire.
