Embezzlement by ZEO Rajouri, complainants skip CEO inquiry 5/29/2016 11:41:27 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, May 29: No complainant has turned up before the inquiry committee on May 28 at the office of Chief Education Officer(CEO) office at Rajouri constituted to verify the allegations of misappropriation of funds by the ZEO, Rajouri. Chief Education Officer , Ch Altaf Hussain vide his office order No.CEOR/5943-45 dt 24/5/16 had constituted a two member committee comprising Nazar Hussain, headmaster of high school Potha and senior lecturer Raghubir Singh to investigate the allegations of misappropriation of funds and scholarship money by the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Rajouri in the year between 2007 & 2009. In this matter some complainants had approached the then Director School Education and had demanded a departmental inquiry into their allegations. Ch Altaf Hussain CEO has constituted the two members committee on the directions from Director School Education (DSE) vide his/her office reference No.DSEJ/MW/V-153/2016/99660-62 dt 23/5/16. He directed the inquiry committee members to submit their report within 5 days after hearing the complainants who were also directed to appear before the inquiry committee to record their statements on May 28 at the office of CEO. "As no complainant turned up on May 28 to record his/her statement, we have decided to give few more days so that the complainants may come to record their statements" said CEO. The complainants had approached the DSE and leveled allegation of misappropriation of scholarship money , school and other funds by the then Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Rajouri. Taking serious note of the allegations, DSE has directed CEO, Rajouri to verify the authenticity of the complaint/allegations before taking any action under rules/regulations. Meanwhile the inquiry committee has also been directed to enquire allegations of misappropriation of funds/unauthorized absent from duty by the teacher namely Javaid Iqbal who was posted at primary school at Dama Gali Plangarh in Thanamandi tehsil in the year 2009 On the directions from the Director School Education, Jammu inquiry committee has been directed by the CEO, Rajouri to record the statements of complainants Khalida Kousar and Mohd Arif, village education committee (VEC) member.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
