SAMBA, May 29: The much awaited Mata Amar Dai Rotary Day Care cum Eye Hospital inaugurated at Chandan Nagar, Rahya Morh in Vijaypur. The hospital construed by mata Amar Devi Rotary Eye Hospital Trust with the active support of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi. As part of the inaugural ceremony, free OPD services were organised and ophthalmologist, Orthopedic, gynecologist and physician were made available to the general public. Free medicines were also distributed among the public. The initiative for this hospital and OPD has been taken by the Rotary Club Jammu which will be functional daily for the people.Speaking on the occasion, President of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi Retd IG Ashok Kumar Gupta lauded contribution of Chandan family for donation of land for hospital and efforts of all Rotary Club members especially Gurdeep Singh, Harish Gulati, Sunil Jain, Dr Dushyant Choudhary. He said real challenge is in running the charity hospital for which club chose him as chairman of the hospital trust.The secretary Harish Gulati briefed account of the trust a subsequent activities taken up to complete the hospital which will benefit the large population of the area. The trust unanimously elected Retd Ashok Gupta chairman of the trust. Dr Dushyant Choudhary gave the glimpse of the future expansion of the hospital to full fledge life line support of the area. While Chander Prakash Ganga Minster lauded the efforts of rotary n said that this hospital will give benefit to many poor patients of the area. He lauded other philanthropic activities of the club. He donated one ambulance for the hospital.
Among other prominent persons present on the occasion were SSP Samba Joginder Singh, Rtd Vijay Tandon, Joginder Abrol, Vinay Kapoor, Asseem, Kuldip Rai, Raman Sherpuri, Rajesh, BB Jolly and others. |
