JU administration vindicates SVC observation: "JU working like private limited Company" Accused issues order of appointment of Professor investigating charges against him! 5/30/2016 12:09:51 AM Early Times Report Jammu, May 29: Days after the State Vigilance Commission while hearing a complaint filed by a former contractual lecturer commented that the Jammu University was being run like a private limited company; serious administrative anomaly has upheld the observation of the top anti graft body of the state yet again. In the recent incident, a junior office in the establishment section of the JU, accused of financial misappropriation and facing an inquiry, on May 10 last, issued an order of appointment of a senior professor as incharge JU central library under his hand and seal, while the latter was the member of the probe panel instituted by the vice chancellor to investigate the charges of double drawl by the accused. Sources in the JU disclosed to ET that the accused junior officer had allegedly made double drawl on a single day, when he drew admissible amount for a duty in JU's flying squad and on the same day for a duty in the JU Council meet at Srinagar. After the misappropriation came to the fore, JU administration constituted a committee which included a senior professor of the Law department in it. However, even as the probe panel was still investigating the charges against the accused junior officer; he on behalf of the JU administration issued an order under his hand and seal, appointing the senior professor as incharge of the JU central library. ET further learnt that the said junior officer in the JU establishment section who calls shots in the University and wears his close proximity to the VC on his sleeve has drawn over Rs 1.8 lakh in single financial year by repeatedly deputing himself in the flying squad that checks various examination centers of the University during various exams conducted by its at different places in and outside Jammu.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
