JAMMU, May 30: After repeated phone calls and recommendations made to senior officers at PHQ, two BJP ministers have managed the posting of 'favourite' DSPs as SDPOs in their respective constituencies.
The adjustments were made in the recently issued transfer list of DSPs. The SDPOs, who were earlier posted in the constituencies of thw two ministers, were, according to them, not up to the mark.
The two ministers wanted their favourite DSPs to be posted there for the purpose of nurturing their constituencies. "After repeated phone calls and recommendation letters written to senior officers, PHQ after all posted the two DSPs of their choice in their respective constituencies," police sources said.
Of them, one was already serving as SDPO in Jammu region while the other was posted in an armed battalion. Both of them had been making rounds of the residences of ministers for the past some time, sources informed. |
