BJP ministers' much-hyped 'public darbars' a hoax
5/31/2016 12:31:50 AM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 30: The much hyped "public darbars" conducted by the BJP ministers in different areas of Jammu proved a futile exercise because these "darbars" lack public as well as courtesy of BJP ministers.
First of all public was not aware that BJP ministers are going to organise "public darbars" and secondly, some people, who had gone there to air their grievances, were not treated properly by the BJP ministers.
These "public darbars"-which lack public, proved to be convention of BJP workers or interaction of workers with party ministers because suggestions were not sought from those who were gathered there. Instead of seeking suggestions from the people to bring back on track the collapsed the power and water supply system in Jammu province, the BJP ministers rather gave their sermons and highlighted their "achievements"
At Maralia in Miran Sahib area of RS Pura when some people tried to raise genuine issues, they were snubbed by the BJP workers. Instead of listening to the grievances of the people, it was tried to gag voice of the people.
Some eye-witnesses told that a group of people, who had come to brief BJP minister about their problems, was arrogantly snubbed by party workers. When leader of the group tried to introduce himself before the minister, he was arrogantly asked not to give any introduction. "There is no need of your introduction, come to the point", the leader was snubbed in such a way to gag his voice to air grievances.
Failure of the BJP's "public darbars" is an eye opener for BJP leadership because after attaining power in J&K this party has cut off from the masses. Instead of directly connecting themselves with the people, BJP ministers are trying to "solve" problems of masses through power brokers. BJP ministers became habitual of only listening their praise so any one who dared to show them mirror has to face wrath of party ministers.
As reported earlier, after being snubbed by the Sangh for enjoying pleasant weather of Kashmir Valley when residents of Jammu are facing hardships due to scorching heat, the power hungry BJP ministers had decided to hold public darbars at different places of Jammu region to address problems of the common masses.
