Neeraj Badyal Early Times Report SAMBA, May 31: Streets of residential localities of samba town are turning unsafe for People, especially children due to the increasing population of stray animals. Herds of Stray cattle and canines fighting amongst themselves pose a threat to passers-by on the different streets of the town. Places such as Bantalab Samba National Highway, ink road, border road and surrounding localities are particularly affected. People are taken aback by the growing cattle population on the main roads of the highway town which not only impedes vehicular movement, but also poses several other problems for the residents. Presence of stray animals on the national Highway is posing a grave threat of mishaps on Jammu Pathankot National highway. The population of stray animals has been increasing alarmingly in the town and incidents of animals attacking human beings have also seen a steep rise. "Most of the time, school going children have been attacked, but authorities are in deep slumber", said Ashima Sharma, a local resident of Samba. |
