Industrialist robbed of Rs 21 lakh, gold on gun point at SIDCO Complex | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 31; In a bizarre incident three motorcycle borne youths today robbed a Jammu based industrialist of Rs 21 lakh cash and four tolas gold at SIDCO Complex Samba. Police have registered a case and started investigations in this regard. Quoting complainant, police sources said, "In his complaint to police, the industrialist has stated that three motorcycle borne youth intercepted him at SIDCO Complex, Phase -I Samba when he was on way to his home at Sainik Colony in his car. "The victim Industrialist namely Rakesh Kumar Sharma s/o Vej Nath Sharma of 531 Sainik Colony was on his way when trio on a motorcycle stopped him on gun point, police sources said, adding, "after assaulting the complainant with a sharp edged weapon the robbers looted him of cash amounting to Rs 2 lakh and 400 gram gold (4 tolas) from him." "After accomplishing their motive, the trio speed up their motorcycle and melted somewhere on road, the complainant stated in his complaint. Taking cognizance in the regard police have started investigations and also have seized the sharp edged weapon from the crime spot. Meanwhile, SSP Samba Joginder Singh when contacted admitting of the occurrence of such incident said that the messages have been flashed after the incident was reported to police. |
