Jammu, May 31; Jammu Development Authority, today launched the Aadhaar enabled Biometric Attendance System (BAS) in its Head Office at Vikas Bhawan, Rail Head Complex and both the Divisional Offices. The BAS was today inaugurated by the Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority Mubarak Singh and he also became the first employee in the Authority to mark his attendance on the attendance portal jkjda.attendance.gov.in The attendance portal has been developed by NIC at the National level and is user friendly as the employees can mark their attendance simply by entering the last 8 digits of their Aadhaar number and thereafter imprinting any one of their fingers on the Biometric attendance device. Both incoming and outgoing attendance will be marked by the employees. Speaking on the occasion, VC, JDA, said that JDA was already using the normal bio-metric based attendance system since the year 2008 and the Authority has now shifted to the Adhaar enabled system as per the instructions of the GAD and Housing and UD department. He further said that the new system will assist the Authority in compiling and scrutinizing the attendance of employees leading to strengthening of reward and penalty system in the office. Sr. Programmer, JDA highlighted the technical features of this newly introduced attendance system. |
