Jammu, June 24: Department of Agriculture Zone Bhalwal organized a live demonstarion of line sowing in maize crop at various farmers field in the Panchayats of Ranjan , Jandial , Barn of zone Bhalwal .
According to press release, the same technique of line sowing was demonstrated during last cropping season of maize in two to three farmers field but this time large number of farmers of this zone have adopted this method of sowing in which the yield is more and the cost of cultivation is very less as compared to the traditional method of sowing by broadcasting in which cost of cultivation is very high.
The officers of the area comprised of B K Koul , AEO ,Amrik Singh JAEO Ranjan , JaswinderSingh VAEA and Anil Gupta VAEA who demonstrated the method of line sowing by dibbling method to farmers. The demonstration was organized on the directions of DirectorAgriculture Dr S S Jamwal , R L Bhagat , CAO , Jammu and T K Atri SDAO Marh. |
