| VOJ exorcists SSP Vigilance from state land encroachment row | | |

Jammu, June 24: Giving respite to the Kaushal Kumar, then SSP Vigilance, presently with General Administration Department (GAD), had hit media limelight for allegedly encroaching government land (Sham Lat) at Gurah Brahmana, has got clean chits against such allegations by the Vigilance Organization Jammu and through office of the Deputy Commissioner Jammu which conducted a Preliminary Enquiry (PE) in this regard.
According to the official spokesperson of Vigilance Organization, the SSP Vigilance Kaushal Kumar has no role of encroachment of government land as alleged by complaint. The spokesperson to further substantiate has also enclosed the report of Preliminary Enquiry (PE) conducted by the office of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu and SSP Jammu with the handout issued in this regard.
According to spokesperson the office of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu in its Preliminary Enquiry (PE) Report giving details of purchase of land in question and submitted that it is clear that allegation of illegal encroachment by the officer is misplaced and baseless. The report from office of DC Jammu addressed to Principal Secretary to Governor also enclosed an annexure furnishing details of land that spot visit clearly indicates that it not a Nullah or a Khud and all the surrounding area is developing into a colony. Meantime the SSP Jammu has made it clear that the man who lodged a complaint is nowhere in scene as the address given by him is proved to be false.
The VOJ report came when the inquiry was in progress by the SDM North who was directed to submit the report with the three days.
Pertinently the Settlement Commissioner, J&K vide his No.CSLR/PS/533 dated June, 20, 2016 directed Regional Director, Survey and Land Records, Jammu (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) to submit a report within a week's time positively.
Furthermore the Regional Director Survey and Land Records, Jammu vide his No.RDS &LR/J/16/125-26 dated June, 22, 2016 directed Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jammu (North) to get the matter enquired by visiting the spot personally. The officer also has sought details of the land under physical possession alongwith Map (Dasti Khaka). At the same time the SDM North, Jammu was asked that the approved plan be also procured in order to reach to the final conclusion. The inquiry officer was further directed to peruse the relevant records and the enquiry report be submitted within 3 days.
Pertinently, probe was ordered following a complaint from one Attar Singh son of Ram Singh of Raipur Domana, Jammu who had lodged a complaint to Chief Minister, J&K State for holding an inquiry against Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma (KPS) Former SSP Vigilance Organization, Jammu but the complainant later found nowhere i.e. treated to be anonymous.
Meantime refuting the allegations of land encroachment Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma termed the complaint false and baseless just to malign his image. He maintained the similar anonymous/fake complaints had already been filed against me by different pseudonyms Mohan Singh, Suresh Sharma, Attar Singh etc and the matter stand verified by Dy. Commissioner Jammu, SSP Jammu, CID J&K, State Vigilance Commission and various other agencies which have found the allegations baseless and even complaints could not be traced |
