NGO resents paid entry to the 'Jekhani Park'

Udhampur June 24: Expressing concerns over the paid entry to Jakhani Park, the NGO Lok Vikas Dal have condemned the move and has demanded revoke the recent hike in entry fee for the park. Lok Vikas Dal, President while criticizing the move said that there is only park in city where children and senior citizens used to visit and the paid entry to the park is just dampening their spirits. Recalling that earlier the entry was free, he said, " Suddenly the authorities imposed entry fee of Rs 5/- per person and after some time it was hiked to Rs 10/- but again some days ago the authorities once again has hiked the entry fee for this only recreational park in Udhampur.' He said that hiked entry fee is injustice with unemployed and senior citizens.He demanded that entry fees for locals should be free and if department wants to charge it charge from outside tourist only .
