Bhaderwah, June 25: Forest Department today conducted raids on illegal bandsaw units and sealed one of them in Halyia area of Bhaderwah town .
According to official spokesperson, a team of Forest Department headed by DFO Bhaderwah T B Singh inspected a band Saw mill in Halyia area of Bhaderwah and found mill running illegally in that location as license was issued for Qilla Mohalla locality and thus the unit was sealed with immediate effect. "During the raid the premises of saw mill was sealed while the machine was got dismantled, he said. Official added that parts of the machines, like wheels, blades, belt and Chundi etc were seized. The confiscation proceedings have been initiated under Section 26 of J&K Forest Act. |
