Surprise visit conducted | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 25: Joint teams of various departments today conducted surprise visit at several places in Jammu city. According to press release, during holy Ramzan a surprise inspection were conducted of meat and other eatables shops by the joint teams of Jammu Municipal Corporation, C.A.P.D., Metrology Department, Drug and Food Department and Police. The teams headed by ACG Jammu, Sachin Jamwal along with the Municipal Veterinary Officer/Zonal Officer-II (Sanitation) Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, Asstt. Director CAPD, Ghulam Rasool and the Officers of the above said Departments. The areas where the inspections conducted are Shahidi Chowk and Talab Khatikan. The meat and chicken sellers directed to maintain proper hygienic conditions and provide good quality of chicken meat and not to keep meat in open. Keep it inside their shops. The cooked food shopkeepers were directed to serve good quality of food and prepare in proper hygienic conditions also used the commercial gas cylinders to avoid heavy penalty. Awareness regarding the use of gloves while handling the food items wearing of aprons and caps while preparing food and not to use polythene carry bags. The Shopkeepers also directed to display the rate list. A compound fine of Rs 4700 was also realized by the teams from the defaulters. The shopkeepers in general have been directed to keep dustbins in their premises and not throw the waste in the lanes and drains. |
