Seminar on Drug Abuse, Illicit Trafficking held | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 25: Seminar on drug abuse and illicit trafficking was organized by Drug and food control organization in the campus of M/S Ind-Swift Limited, Samba Unit. According press release, the objective of the programme was to raise awareness of the harms caused by illicit drugs and to help prevent people profiting from their use. Speaking on the occasion, resource personnel stressed upon the need to create awareness about the illicit drug abuse. The audiences were requested not to get carried away by peer pressure and must realize that once a person gets into this social evil, his/her life is ruined. They were requested to make the society aware about the ill effects of habit forming drugs. It was communicated that District Administration has initiated serious steps to this menace and strict regulation is being made on sale of such drugs, but contribution from the society is also essential to eradicate this social evil.
