Early Times Report RAJOURI, June 25: In connection with 68th Jhangar Day celebrations to be celebrated on July 4, Jhangar Bn under the aegis of Nowshera Brigade organized a multi specialty medical-cum-blood donation camp at Nowshera today. About 23 doctors from Rajouri, Nowshera, Jammu and army provided medical treatment and free medicines to the patients. Dr Sanjeev Dhingra from Government Medical College, Jammu enlightened the people about the prevention/management of Thallasemia while Dr Anju Bhatti, Neonatologist gave a lecturer on prevention of Neonatal diseases and apprised about congenital anomalies to the attentive civil populace and army personnel. A vaccination camp was also organized on this occasion besides 1532 patients were examined/ treated by the ENT, Gynecologist, eye specialist, orthopedician, Surgeon, Physician etc. A team of doctors lead by Dr Suresh Gupta, BMO identified 59 children under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (RBSK) for further referral and management. On this occasion soldiers provided 51 units of blood to the civil administration which will be utilized to save the lives of the civilians. |
