AKHNOOR, June 26: Little Flower School today registered a fine 33 runs victory against Friends Club Bhalwal to strengthen their position in the ongoing 8th Pawan Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club, here. Earlier, Little Flower, batting first after winning the toss, made 178 runs losing seven wickets. Vinod played superb innings making 38-ball 60 runs while Gourav and Aakarsh contributed 27 and 23 runs respectively. Deepak added 19 runs to the total. From Friends Club, Jatinder took two wickets while Vikram, Ajay, Rakesh and Vicky shared apiece each. In reply, Friends Club could make 145 runs after the whole side bowled out. Jonu (45 off 25 balls), Nannu (22 off 25 balls) and Ajay (17 off 10 balls) were main scorers. Pankaj, Parveen and Rajinder took two wickets each while Vinod, Sunil, Deepak and Pinka shared apiece each. For his brilliant batting, Vinod was declared man of the match. Today's match officiated by Vikas Bali and Dayal Singh as umpires while Ashwani Mangotra was scorer. |
