SR College kick starts KAS workshops

JAMMU, June 26: Keeping in consideration the recently released Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) notification for filling the positions in different administrative services, the SR College of Competitions (SRCC) on Sunday organized a series of workshops for the KAS (Kashmir Administrative Services) aspirants at its Gandhi Nagar campus, here.
The workshops were conducted for General Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Anthropology and Philosophy. The faculty which attended to the queries of aspirants in the workshops included Parveen Sharma (General Studies), RK Jha, Delhi (Political Science), Goutam Pandey, Delhi (Public Administration) and Goutam Meena (Philosophy).
The expert faculty provided much needed guidance to the aspirants on various aspects of the forthcoming Preliminary and its subsequent Mains examination. The workshops not only aimed at providing necessary orientation on various components and the scheme of the examination but also to guide the novice students in carefully selecting the Optionals.
In these workshops the aspirants were oriented on how the preparation needs to be guided and focused in this short duration, how to optimally utilize the time, how to sift the important content out of the whole lot of available content around and what books and magazines can really be useful from the examination point.
Speaking on the occasion, the main faculty and Director of SRCC, Praveen Sharma highlighted that the number of vacancies this time are high and target oriented guidance and devising the winning strategy are necessary for cracking the examination. Looking at the response of the aspirants, he added.
Known for its quality coaching and right guidance, the SRCC is all geared up to involve best of the Delhi bound faculty ,organize a series of continuous as well as comprehensive mock tests for both Preliminary and Mains Examinations in the coming six months. Further, SRCC plans to hold workshops for the rest of the Optionals on coming Sunday, Praveen Sharma added.
