Cop among 3 held with opium, cash | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26:Three persons, including a police cop, were today apprehended by police from Reasi along with 50 mg of opium and a cash of Rs 1,63,400. A police spokesman said acting on a specific input, a special team of district police, Reasi, succeeded in the recovery of 50 mg of opium and a cash Rs 1,63,400 from the accused who were identified as cop Gurcharan Singh, son of Romal Singh of Degree College Road, Udhampur, Kunal Pandoh, son of Varinder Pandoh of Ward No 8, Reasi, and Mohan Lal, son of Gogi Ram of Kund Khanyari, Pouni. The seized cash was earned by them from the sale of drugs, sources alleged, saying that a small digital weighing machine was also recovered from them. In this connection, a case under sections 8/18/62 of NDPS Act was registered against them and investigation of the case was in progress.
