Accused in poll 'scam', police officer pestering ministers to get NOC | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 26: Alleged to be involved in the poll scam, a senior police officer has found out a new way to get his name dropped from the list of the accused. He has started pestering some ministers by not doing their works as he feels that by doing so he would be able to force them to get NOC (no objection certificate) for him from the government in lieu of the 'favours' he would be granting them. He needs NOC to get job in some other department after his retirement. Without NOC, he won't be able to get the job for which the Centre was also helping him, police sources alleged. Sources said he was nowadays deliberately not doing the works of some ministers. "He feels that when the ministers will speak to him and ask him why he is not doing their works, he will happily agree to oblige them and at the same time gently ask them to get NOC for him from the government," the sources added. "Once he gets the NOC, his name will automatically get dropped from the list of the accused," sources said. Earlier also, this officer was caught in a controversy because of one of his family members, but he had overnight managed the things in his favour, using his connections, sources alleged. "By troubling the ministers, he wants to get closer to them because he knows that only they can help him in this situation," sources said. |
